Gemini Ring Set

General Notes

Gemini’s meanings are myriad. In astronomy it is a zodiacal constellation in the Northern hemisphere lying between Taurus and Cancer and containing the bright stars Castor and Pollux. In astronautics it is a series of manned US spacecraft launched between the Mercury and Apollo missions. In astrology it is the third sign of the zodiac (the Twins). In Greek mythology, it refers to the twins Castor and Pollux who shared a mother, Leda, and were fathered by Tyndareus and Zeus, respectively. After the mortal Castor’s death, he and his brother were reunited in the heavens as twins.

The GRS draws its name from the twins, intertwined in an embrace yet dual in nature. This duality is represented texturally and chromatically with one ring being polished and set with dark blue sapphires and the other matte and set with light blue sapphires. These unisex rings can be worn together or twisted open and worn either stacked or separately. In fact, we’ve even had clients who purchase a ring set and give one half to a loved one, whether romantic partner, family member or friend, making the Gemini moniker even more appropriate.
